Which Foods Promote Cellulite?

Diet plays an important part in getting rid of cellulite.

Cellulite is a build-up of fats and toxins and so not eating them in the first place is vital to cellulite prevention.

The healthiest diet is the one closest to nature. This means eating natural foods that aren’t cooked or are cooked only lightly and without the use of heavy oils and artificial flavours. So stay away from packaged foods.

Also avoid stodgy foods like pies, sausage rolls, tarts and pastries. Red meat is also a high-fat food and should be avoided. Some people worry that without red meat, their diet will lack protein. But most foods contain protein, and even a humble potato has protein in it. And green leafy vegetables are actually high in protein.

You should also avoid caffeine and alcohol as both contribute to cellulite absorption by making your system sluggish and tired and unable to properly eliminate toxins and waste matter from your body. Instead these are stored in your deposits of cellulite.

Any foods containing sugar should be avoided too. Although sugar contains no fat, it is concentrated energy and if your body doesn’t use the energy, it stores it as fat.

The best anti-cellulite diet consists of natural (organic) foods such as fruit, vegetables, salads, beans and whole grains.

So instead of eating fried food, try a mixed bean salad and wholemeal bread, or a baked potato and beans. And replace your sugary snack foods with pieces of fruit.

Just remember that foods that are high in fat or contain large amounts of sugar or artificial ingredients are not healthy and will only add to your cellulite problem.

Also avoid salt. It is your worst enemy because it retains the fluid around your toxic cellulite deposits which increases the ugly dimpling effect.

Eliminate salt from your diet completely or replace it with low-sodium salt from your local health food store.

Stay away from all foods that promote cellulite.

Remember, the more natural your food, the better it is at helping you get rid of cellulite.
