Cellulite and Relaxation
Stress can be a major cause of cellulite. Your body can’t function properly if you feel stressed all the time. So you need to learn some relaxation techniques.
Start by making sure you get enough sleep every night. You can use relaxation tapes, DVDs and even audio to help you relax more.
Or how about taking a relaxation holiday? Just spend some quiet time at a retreat or in a private villa, far away from the crowds.
There are also relaxation exercises you can do such as yoga.
Using stress management techniques can be very beneficial, especially in the workplace. If you suffer from job stress, try delegating certain jobs to others or talk to your Human Resources department to find out how you can reduce workplace stress.
Perhaps your company has courses you can go on to help you in dealing with stress and reduce it.
You can begin a relaxation technique straight away by concentrating on your breathing. Whenever you feel stressed, notice how fast you are breathing.
Then slow your breathing down by taking slow, deep breathes. This will slow your heart beat down and make you feel more relaxed.
You can further loosen your inner tension by simply smiling. It’s impossible to feel tensed when you smile, so as soon as your lips turn upwards in a smile, your shoulders will drop and you will feel the tension begin to fade.
Use this same relaxation technique when you go to bed at night. Just smile as you close your eyes. You’ll feel all the day’s tension immediately leave your body and you’ll sleep more deeply.
Learning to relax is your first step along the road to getting rid of cellulite for good.
